What is a digital download and how does it differ from a physical portrait?
A digital download is a high-resolution file of your custom pet portrait that’s delivered to your email — no physical item is shipped. You’ll receive a print-ready image that you can use however you’d like: print it at home, send it to a local print shop, or even turn it into gifts like mugs, cards, or canvases.
Unlike physical portraits, digital downloads give you:
* Instant access once your artwork is complete — no waiting for shipping
* No risk of damage or loss in the mail
* The freedom to print it as many times as you want, in any size or format you prefer
* Cost savings — no shipping fees or handling costs
It’s the most flexible and convenient way to enjoy your custom art — whether you hang it on the wall, frame it, or share it online.
How fast is delivery?
By the very next day.
What are the dimensions of your digital prints?
Every portrait order will be sent in a jpeg and png file that can print in 8x10in (20.32 x 25.4 cm).
Do you only make portraits of cats and dogs?
No, I can make a portrait of any animal you consider a pet, whether it's your pet rock or your pet alligator.
Do you offer custom human portraits?
Not at the moment but custom ugly human portraits are something that will happen in the near future.
Placing Your Order
How do I order individual portraits vs. a group portrait?
For an individual order, select "1 Pet" to have a single pet portrait. If you have multiple pets you want individual portraits for, add a portrait order for each pet to your cart.
For group portraits, select the number of pets you want on your portrait and add one photo of each pet along with their name. We don't accept group photos because we want to know which pet is who. You can crop out each pet.
Can I have more than one pet in a portrait?
Yes, I can add as many as five animals per portrait. When placing an order, on the first question of the order form, select the amount that you want on one portrait to make it a group portrait.
Can I request both a group portrait and an individual portrait on one order?
Yes you can if you placed two separate orders (one for the individual portraits for each animal and one for group portraits). You can't request individual portraits if you only placed a group portrait order and vice versa.
What makes a good photo?
We generally accept any photo as long as the photo isn’t tiny, blurry, or extremely dark/bright. Also we only accept jpeg, png, or any image format. We don't accept group photos.
Can I get a portrait without any text?
Yep. Names are optional. The portrait text
also doesn’t have to be your pet’s name. It can be dates, quotes, or your pet’s nickname.
After You Order
Can I change my order after it’s been placed?
All orders are final once they are placed. It's important to make sure to mention what you want to include in the notes box and to make sure the pet's names are spelled correctly.
Do you allow edits?
- To preserve the ugly nature of these pet portraits, I don’t allow edits. One exception to this is if I misspelled your pet’s name.
Do you accept special requests?
No, we don't accept special requests including adding halos to a portrait. Sneaking in special requests to any input text box that is reserved for pet names will be ignored.
How do I leave a review?
To leave a review, click here and right underneath the listing, click on the yellow “write review” button on the right.
Using Your Portrait
Can I make a tattoo out of my portrait drawing?
Yes.
Can I use your drawings commercially?
Yes. Once you place a custom order you can use it for personal use and commercial use.
Returns & Refunds
Can I return my pet portrait if I’m unhappy with it?
Since it’s a digital download and it’s a custom order, returns are not allowed. If you are not satisfied with your order, we can offer a refund.
